Presenting the Memorial Statute of Darya Qoli Sourani to the Mayor of Hiroshima
Iranian veterans and artists, presented
the statute of Darya Qoli Sourani to the mayor of Hiroshima during the memorial
ceremony of atomic bombing of this city.
Invited by MOCT NPO, Iranian veterans and artists who attended
the memorial ceremony of atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6th,
2023, presented the statute of Darya Qoli Sourani to the mayor of Hiroshima and
held two film festivals, the “10th Iran – Hiroshima Peace and
Friendship” film festival in Hiroshima and “Iranian Movies Week” film festival
in Tokyo.
The Iranian delegation celebrated the
20th year of establishing relations between Iranian veterans and
artists with Hiroshima through the work of Tehran Peace Museum and presented
the statute of Darya Qoli Sourani to the mayor of Hiroshima and three members
of MOCT. During the memorial ceremony, Mohsen Sharifian played an Iranian music
instrument which was received well by the guests.
The Iranian delegation was consisted
of some of the cast and crew members of the four movies Yadu, The Situation
of Mahdi, Walnut Tree and Miracle of Bonasan which were screened during the
events, as well as some of the Iranian veterans. These festivals were organized
by MOCT, Tehran Peace Museum and the embassy of
Islamic Republic of Iran in Tokyo.
