Adel Memarnia

First Assistant Director & Director of Photography

Born in 1989 in Khorramshahr, Adel Memarnia is first assistant director and director of photography of the Miracle of Bonasan. 

Memarnia was graduated in Film Directing from University of Tehran in 2003, after he was graduated in a one-year film making course from Iran’s Young Cinema Association in 1997 in Boushehr. He has worked in numerous projects as a documenter, camera operator, producer and director. He has also worked as assistant director and photographer in movies such as An Umbrella for the Director; and Eagle’s Last Feather; first assistant director in Like A Story; and Amitis. He has directed documentaries such as Thirst, These Hands and The Carpenter Worm, filmed documentaries such as The Last Arrow of Arash, The Outstanding Statute in the World; and Towards the Light; and produced The Warm Blood movie.

Memarnia has been awarded with or has been nominated for awards. He was awarded as the best sound recorder in Jame Jam Festival for his movie The Autumn of the Leaves (1997), second place in International Qoqnous [Phoenix] Festival for directing and producing The Red Olive clip, acceptance of his documentary The Full Moon in The Resistance Festival (2019) and best short movie of The Holy Defense for The Warm Blood (2020).
